Thanks for sharing your experience – I’m recommending Freedom Tails to anyone looking to adopt a dog, especially first time adopters. Can you post a picture of your dog.

I too brought home a dog from the Freedom Tails program – it’s such a wonderful program. She had a great time in the training program – they did a really good job of working with her (she had no “skills” when she arrived there – lol). My dog, however, did not sleep all the way home in the car – she was so excited to go on an adventure and kept us entertained the entire drive – a sign of what was to come…she’s tireless! 😉 They said she slept in her crate every night or right in front of it and was very good about that. So I set up a crate with the crate door open in my bedroom on the first night since I knew she was used to that, only to wake up the next morning with her curled up next to me on my bed. She knew she was home. 🙂 Have fun with your new dog and congrats!
